Manta ray shark mixed with the cow’s hornThe Marquesas Islands are home to the magnificent manta ray, a powerful and graceful in the waters of Hakaui Bay. Inspired by these creatures, Tanguy has hand carved this piece from oceanic rosewood. In Marquesan culture, the manta ray is seen as a protector, a symbol of wisdom, trust, and strength. The top of the piece is adorned with ancestral symbols, carved to carry protection and meaning.
