You can play with proxied cards to save on cash, at least outside of a MTG tournament
In short: the goal is to not be the archenemy at the table and instead work with the other players to take out other threats -- all while you're setting up to snag victory once your opponents have wasted their resources
However, it is a clear signal for players to know that these cards indicate a different kind of play and that others might prefer not to play against them. While I dont agree completely with Commander Brackets or the cards on this list, I do think that this is an interesting tool for Commander players to use when talking about power levels and game expectations before shuffling up and playing a game together
Here were the results of opening each respective pack: Violet ex pack Ruler of the Black Flame pack Triple Beat pack Of all of the Pokmon he scored, he recognized only three of them: Magikarp, Altaria, and Scizor
If you really want to just cast a spell, you can also just cast Three Steps Ahead for one mana to no other effect, but where things get a little wild is when you can pay the cost for multiple effects on the card
